Change the world. Love your job.
Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an experienced technical leader to manage our Process Water Engineering team within Facilities Central Engineering. In this role, you will lead, develop, and set the direction for a team of engineers supporting deionized/ultrapure water (DIW/UPW), industrial wastewater (IWW), and reclaim & reuse systems across TI's 200mm and 300mm semiconductor manufacturing sites. These systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption, and your team plays a critical role in ensuring they remain stable, efficient, and cost-effective.
As a discipline manager within Central Engineering, you will play a key role in advancing CE's vision to build and operate the most efficient and sustainable facilities — driving operational excellence, cost leadership, technology innovation, and workforce development across your team and across sites.
Responsibilities Include:
Engineering & Technical Leadership
Provide clear direction during dynamic reliability situations, setting team priorities for operations support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident response for DIW/UPW, IWW, and reclaim & reuse systems.
Drive reliability and risk-based engineering through root cause analysis, FMEAs, and RPN assessments
Develop and maintain multi-year improvement roadmaps using performance data, SPC, and system assessments to identify risk and optimization opportunities
Champion lean process improvements and standardized benchmarking across factories to improve engineering processes and attainment
Lead industry benchmarking to identify and bring best practices into TI
Drive the identification, fan-in, and deployment of new technologies and engineering standards across sites
Partner with operations, maintenance, manufacturing, EHS, and engineering leadership to improve system performance and safe operation
Anticipate industry evolution and proactively adapt infrastructure and talent strategies to meet emerging semiconductor demands
People Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop engineers by building technical depth in water purification (DIW/UPW, reverse osmosis, ion exchange), wastewater treatment, and high-purity water/chemical delivery infrastructure
Identify skills gaps and create learning opportunities that build engineering capability in support of Facilities of the Future
Foster a culture of curiosity, accountability, collaboration, and high urgency
Inspire teams through clear communication of the team's mission and priorities
Nurture future leaders and encourage continuous professional development
Project Leadership & Execution
Set the strategy and priorities for capital and expense projects across sites, including system upgrades, expansions, and optimization initiatives
Lead capacity-versus-demand analysis, utility forecasting, and growth scenario planning
Champion the CE PMO framework to deliver disciplined, efficient, and high-performing project execution
Ensure capital planning and forecasting are aligned with TI/TMG priorities and CapEx forecasts
Drive standardization of designs, specifications, and execution practices across projects and sites
Champion innovation and cost reduction opportunities in support of TI's competitive cost position
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams including Factory Manufacturing, ESHS, Operations, and Design & Construction
Collaborate with external partners, contractors, and suppliers to align priorities and drive execution
Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and ownership expectations across teams and initiatives
Texas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related science field
8+ years of relevant engineering experience
3+ years leading engineers or technical teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Capital or expense project leadership for semiconductor facilities process water systems (DIW/UPW, IWW, and reclaim/reuse) systems
Strong background in semiconductor process water systems design, maintenance, or operations
Deep technical expertise in water purification systems (DIW/UPW, reverse osmosis, ion exchange), industrial wastewater treatment, or high-purity water/chemical delivery infrastructure
Advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, FMEA, and RPN-based reliability engineering experience.
Experience with SPC, performance metrics, dashboards, and data analysis for system optimization
Capacity planning, utility demand forecasting, and lean process improvement experience
Proven ability to develop engineers, set priorities, and lead teams through dynamic, high-pressure situations across multiple sites
Experience identifying, scaling, and deploying new technologies and engineering standards across a multi-site organization
